‘Jersey Shore’ Stars Snooki, JWoww and Pauly D Get Their Own Spinoffs

The hit reality series branches out with vehicles for three of its stars

MTV's hit reality series "Jersey Shore" has spawned two new spinoff series, the network announced on Thursday.

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio have all been greenlit for new series. Farley and Polizzi will co-star in an as-yet-untitled, 12-episode series, which will give viewers a glimpse into "how they deal with life and love when the vacation is over…The locale may be different, but the friendship is sure to remain the same."

Delvecchio's series, which is also greenlit for 12 episodes, will follow his "jet-setting and often hilarious life on the road as one of the country's most in-demand DJs." Joiining Delvecchio on this journey of discovery will be his best friends from his native Rhode Island.

Both series are slated to begin production later this year, for airing next year.

"Jersey Shore" has been the most successful series in MTV history. The recently aired third season averaged a 7.7 rating amongthe 12-34 demographic, up 35 percent from its second season, and 196 percent from season one.

Chris Linn, MTV's executive vice president of programming and head of productiion, said of the new series, "We’re excited to put the spotlight on their lives away from the shore as they pursue their individual passions, careers and relationships. Both series are fun, fresh ways for us to evolve what is an already successful brand for us.”
