President Obama has two big fundraisers on his agenda Monday in Los Angeles where he expects to raise big bucks for his next electoral campaign: a 4:30 p.m. event at the House of Blues and a 6 p.m. dinner at Fig & Olive in West Hollywood.
Streets will close. Traffic will stop. Wallets will be squeezed.
By lunchtime on Monday, bomb trucks were already parked on Sunset Boulevard.
"Modern Family's" Jesse Tyler Ferguson is emceeing the 4:30 House of Blues fundraiser on Sunset Boulevard. The Weho Gay Men's Chorus and B.O.B. will entertain the 1,000 guests.
Tickets start at $250 — but go up to $10,000. For $10,000, donors get a photograph with the president.
The dinner is more intimate — and pricier. About 120 people will supp with the president at the Fig & Olive on Melrose Place — just off La Cienega Boulevard in West Hollywood. Tickets are $17,900 each.

Police started shutting down streets in the area Monday morning. At 6 a.m., they had closed San Vicente Boulevard between Santa Monica and Melrose Boulevards. The street will stay closed until noon Tuesday.
A Hazardous Materials Squad truck was parked in front of the Sunset Plaza Hotel on Sunset Boulevard (photos by Mikey Glazer) Monday afternoon.
DeLongpre Avenue from Fountain Avenue to Flores Street was closed early in the day.
And streets around the Beverly Wilshire Hotel — where the president has stayed in the past — were closed off Monday.

Obama is staying in Los Angeles Monday night.
Money raised will go to the Obama Victory Fund, which is made up of the Democratic National Committee and Obama for America.
The president's re-election campaign gets the first $5,000 of each individual contribution, which is the most anyone can give a presidential candidate. The most any individual can give a committee like the DNC is $30,800 per year.
Obama spent the morning in San Jose, where he attended a town hall-style event sponsored by LinkedIn. After that, he headed to San Diego for a fund-raising lunch.
