Jim Carrey Makes Fun of Iggy Azalea’s Name in New ‘Saturday Night Live’ Promos (Video)

Who knew Iggy would be so much fun to say?

Jim Carrey is back to remind you he’s hosting “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, and he’s brought along Iggy Azalea for added star power.

After going all power couple with “Saturday Night Live” cast member Aidy Bryant in previous promos, Carrey returns for another, slightly more awkward round of promos, this time with the night’s musical guest by his side.

First, the comedian has a blast saying her name, though she’s not so amused, and he doesn’t impress her pulling his signature funny faces, either.

“Hey Iggy, want to know what’s really scary? Trying to love me,” he tries, but nope, she’s still not buying it.

Things do lighten up finally when Carrey impersonates a rapper with bling and grill and all — or, at least, tries to, but the grill falls out halfway into his monologue and success — Azalea finally cracks up.

“Saturday Night Live” is in its 40th season, and the Carrey episode will also feature the debut of writer-turned-cast-member Leslie Jones.
