Kid Wises Up to Jimmy Kimmel’s Annual Halloween Candy Prank (Video)

“I’ve watched YouTube,” one child tells a parent

Jimmy Kimmel got into the spirit of the season by once again asking parents to torment their small children by lying and saying that they ate all of their Halloween candy.

But it’s all in good fun, because the parents then post the video on YouTube so the whole world can see their kids crying uncontrollably. That’s good fun, right?

This was the sixth annual “Hey Jimmy Kimmel I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy” challenge, and according to Kimmel’s YouTube page, they “got more submissions than ever this year.”

Of course, not all the kids fall for it. One kid snapped back, “It’s Jimmy Kimmel, it’s Jimmy Kimmel. You’re hiding my candy, I’ve seen it before, I’ve watched YouTube.”

The segment closed with a shout out to Operation Gratitude, an organization that puts together care packages for U.S. troops serving overseas.
