Early ratings show Kimmel well above Letterman and Leno in the 18-49 demo
Kanye West’s rant-filled appearance on Wednesday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live” netted the show its best-ever ratings in the 11:35 p.m. slot, according to preliminary ratings data.
According to 25 markets, Kimmel had a 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demo, while Leno had a 0.7 and Letterman had 0.5. The show was also the winner of the timeslot in the top 10 U.S. markets.
Should the ratings data hold, it will mark Kimmel’s highest-rated show in his 11:35 p.m. timeslot excluding the NBA Finals-led June episodes.
