Jimmy Kimmel Pits LA vs. NY Costumed Characters in Street Quiz (Video)

See which city wins when people who dress up as fictional characters demonstrate very little awareness of those characters

Jimmy Kimmel once again pitted New York against Los Angeles, this time in a battle of their costumed characters.

Crews in both cities spoke with people who dress up as fictional characters on the streets and tested their knowledge about those characters.

As it turns out, not many of the people playing these characters know even the most basic things about them. When asked what animal Catwoman empathizes with, a New Yorker dressed as the Batman anti-hero replied, “Rats.”

A Los Angeles resident dressed as Luigi from the Super Mario Bros. video game series didn’t know the name of Mario’s evil twin. “I’m usually Jesus out here,” he conceded.

In the end, New York’s costumed characters won out thanks to a different Luigi’s impressive knowledge of the video game series from whence he came.
