Director, Corporate Accounting and Human Resources

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting and Human Resources Director to manage finance, accounting and human resources. You will be responsible for the management of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Profit & Loss statements, benefits administration and other human resource related tasks. Job Responsibilities:

  • Posting all vendor/supplier invoices
  • Obtaining invoice approval and processing approved invoices for payment
  • Creating 1099s for new vendors
  • Responding to all vendor inquiries
  • Generating all client invoices
  • Recording client payments
  • Developing and maintaining spreadsheets and yearly budgets as requested by the COO
  • Analyzing variances in budget and actual P&L reports
  • Analyzing revenue by product type and category
  • Maintaining employee records
  • Tracking employee vacation and sick time
  • Tracking and submitting payroll and approved payroll edits in a timely fashion
  • Archiving payrolls at the end of each cycle
  • Tracking billing receipts by period and maintaining associated sales commission reports
  • Acting as the initial point-of-contact for all HR related matters
  • Interpreting policies and procedures and communicating them to all employees both proactively and in response to questions

Experience required:

  • 2-year degree in a Business-related field; 4-year degree from an accredited university in a Business-related field preferred
  • Must have excellent organizational skills as well as effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be knowledgeable in regards to Paychex payroll systems and QuickBooks Pro.
  • 3 years of business office experience

TheWrap is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the CEO/Editor-in-Chief of a rapidly growing entertainment news site. Tasks include scheduling, answering phones, ordering office supplies, updating event-related web content, preparing newsletter blasts and maintaining guest lists. In addition, the executive assistant will also manage TheWrap's awards screening series.  Job requires you to work in a fast-paced environment and must have a thick-skin. There is a lot going on a you must have the ability to switch gears seamlessly. Previous experience suggested, but not required, working at a studio, production company or Talent Agency.
