Joe Earley has joined Gail Berman‘s The Jackal Group as president, the company announced Friday.
He will oversee all areas of the studio’s television, film, theater and digital divisions and will report directly to Gail Berman, the chairman and CEO of The Jackal Group. Earley and Berman previosuly worked together at Fox Broadcasting when the latter served as president of Fox.
“I am thrilled to welcome Joe at a time when The Jackal Group is experiencing the kind of measurable creative and operational surge that will benefit from his expertise and overall presence. Plus, Joe is an exceptional leader with a sharp eye for terrific content, and he possesses a special ability of inspiring those around him with seeming ease,” said Berman. “I am so happy to have him as a friend and creative partner as we as we continue to build the company.”
Earley was a longtime Fox executive, serving for over two decades, most recently as Chief Operating Offer for Fox Television Group. In that role, he had direct oversight of marketing and communications, digital, research, talent relations, scheduling and audience strategy at Fox Broadcasting Company, while partnering with 20thCentury Fox Television’s development, production, business affairs, marketing and finance leads on strategic initiatives, and overseeing publicity and talent relations at the studio.

“Joining The Jackal Group not only reunites me with my friend Gail, who inspires creators to infuse great projects with the innovation and commercial appeal this market needs, but also allows me to fully blend my creative pursuits with the operational and marketing experience that will help this business grow,” Earley said. “In such a short time The Jackal Group has achieved an impressive level of excellence and accomplishment – from film to television and even theater, and I cannot wait to be part of the team.”
Before joining Fox, Earley spent several years in Media Relations at HBO. He began his entertainment career in production and development with producer Gale Anne Hurd. A native of Chicago, Earley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from the University of California, Los Angeles.
