“She had to be so hyperbolic and insulting, and quite frankly it’s gutter politics at its worst to compare people to radical terrorists who cut off people’s heads,” Morning Joe host says
Joe Scarborough didn’t mince words on Friday regarding controversial comments Hillary Clinton made linking Republicans to terrorists.
“It was disgusting,” the Morning Joe host said about comments the Democratic frontrunner made on Thursday comparing Republicans to terrorists. “She had to be so hyperbolic and insulting, and quite frankly it’s gutter politics at its worst to compare people to radical terrorists who cut off people’s heads.”
The former Secretary of State compared Republican candidates’ “extreme views about women” to terrorists. “It’s a little hard to take coming from Republicans who want to be president of the United States,” she said.
Scarborough suggested Clinton’s controversial comments are a deliberate strategy to distract voters from the email controversy swirling around her.
A new Quinnipiac poll shows Clinton far out in front of her rivals for the Democratic nomination: 45 percent for Clinton, 22 percent for Bernie Sanders and 18 percent for Vice President Joe Biden, who hasn’t officially declared his candidacy.
