MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and White House chief strategist Steve Bannon traded jabs in a Bloomberg profile of senior policy adviser Stephen Miller.

Scarborough has been extremely critical of Miller’s television appearances, but Bannon defended his White House colleague to Bloomberg.

“When Joe Scarborough and the mainstream media attack Stephen Miller… it’s just like any opposition party,” Bannon said. “They’ll try to take out some of the best young people in any organization. Stephen is a tough guy, I can tell you from the campaign. He’s used to being absolutely vilified.”

In response, Scarborough issued a statement to Bloomberg, calling Bannon and Miller “opposition party hacks [who] humiliate themselves by being so ignorant of American history and the Constitution that they declare in their big-boy voices that the president’s powers are not to be questioned.”

Last week, “Morning Joe” played a Fox News clip of a recent interview with Miller that prompted co-host Scarborough to say, “He is so bad on TV.”

Meanwhile, Bannon mocked the media for how it “portrayed the campaign, how they portrayed the transition and now they’re portraying the administration,” during a speaking engagement at the Conservative Political Action Conference last week.

This is a feud that isn’t going to end anytime soon.
