Johnny Depp Jams With Aerosmith, Somehow Becomes Even More Awesome (Video)

"Pirates of the Caribbean" star Johnny Depp straps on an ax to rock out on "Train Kept a-Rollin'" with Steven Tyler and the boys

Seriously, Johnny Depp, you don't have to keep proving how cool you are anymore — but we can't help but appreciate it when you do things like this.

The band is currently on its Global Warming tour, which brings the group to Washington's Tacoma Dome on Thursday. (Sorry, Tacoma; chances are Depp won't be on hand to bust out another tune with the group.)

Long a dabbler in music, Depp released an album in 1995 with his group P, which also included Butthole Surfers frontman Gibby Haynes.

Depp has played with Aerosmith before — back in May, he joined the group, along with Alice Cooper, to jam on the Beatles chestnut "Come Together" at the after-party for the premiere of "Dark Shadows."
