A ranch house owned by “The Big Bang Theory” star Johnny Galecki burned down Monday night during a large wildfire that struck the central California coastal area, but the actor was unharmed in the blaze.

The wildfire covered 1,200 acres in San Luis Obispo County, burning down multiple structures on the property; Galecki was not on the premises at the time of the fire.

Roughly 250 residents were ordered to leave their homes in the Santa Margarita area after the blaze broke out Monday, according to the Associated Press, but on Tuesday night they were told they could return home.

By Tuesday night, firefighters had contained about 60 percent of the 2.5-square-mile wildfire. The extent of damages was not yet known.

“My heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire, the threat of which we live with constantly, which may seem crazy to some but we do so because living in our beautiful, rural area makes it worthwhile,” Galecki said in a statement given to TMZ, which first reported the news. “It’s never the structures that create a community — it’s the people. And if the people of Santa Margarita have taught me anything it’s that, once the smoke has cleared, literally and figuratively, it’s a time to reach out and rebuild,”

“We’ve done it before, and will need to do it together again, and it will make our community even closer and stronger. Endless thanks to CalFire and the Sheriff’s Office. I know you guys are fighting the good fight to keep us safe. So very relieved no one has been hurt.”

Galecki’s representatives have not yet responded to TheWrap’s requests for comment.
