Jon Bernthal Tapped for Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street”

Jon Bernthal has risen.

"The Walking Dead" actor, killed off at the end of the last season of AMC's zombie drama, has joined the cast of Martin Scorsese's "The Wolf of Wall Street," an individual with knowledge of the deal told TheWrap.

Bernthal will play a drug dealer and money launderer in the film, shooting in New York in August, which stars Jonah Hill and Leonardo DiCaprio. Written by Terence Winter, the film follows the financial rise and fall of Wall Street banker Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio).

Bernthal is also starring in "L.A. Noir," Frank Darabont's upcoming TNT series. He is also playing a lead role in the New York premiere of John Pollono's play "Small Engine Repair" at MCC Theater's Lucille Lortel Theatre in 2013.
