Nikolaj Coster-Waldau Explains How He Didn’t Lie About Jon Snow’s Death (Video)

A Lannister always covers his own bulls—

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau lied to Jimmy Kimmel’s face about Jon Snow’s fate. Or maybe he didn’t, if you ask Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.

The “Game of Thrones” star explained his big fib away with some semantics last night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

“The last time you were here, I asked you, ‘Is Jon Snow really dead?’ and you swore to me that he was dead,” Kimmel confronted his Tuesday guest.

“He was. He was. He was,” Coster-Waldau replied, seemingly trying to convince even himself.

“I said, ‘Was he dead for good?’” Kimmel continued.

“I — you know — I don’t remember you — you didn’t phrase it like that,” Coster-Waldau responded. “The thing is, Jon Snow is dead. Jon Stark-Targaryen has risen from the dead.”

That impressed Kimmel for a moment, before Coster-Waldau then admitted, “I mean, I’m just making that up.”
