Jon Stewart Finds ‘Progress’ While Skewering Texas Pool Party Cop: ‘Nobody Is Dead’ (Video)

‘It’s progress because a cop pulled his gun on a group of black kids and nobody is dead,” says “Daily Show” correspondent Jessica Williams

Jon Stewart took aim at the recent controversy surrounding arrests at a McKinney, Texas pool party during Monday’s “Daily Show.”

After playing the widely-circulated cell phone video showing a police officer drawing his weapon on a teenager, Stewart asked, “How do you go from a pool party to this?”

Stewart then pretended to draw a gun and screamed, “When I say ‘Marco,’ you say ‘Polo’ motherf–ker!”

Later in the video, the officer is seen yelling at a teen girl that he had previously shoved to the ground, telling her, “Get your ass on the ground!” Stewart pointed out that since the girl is already on the ground, “not only is he being an asshole, he’s redundant.”

Stewart then threw things over to senior Texas aquatics correspondent Jessica Williams, who was dressed in full body armor, which she called a “McKinney bikini.”

Williams also said that this incident was a sign of progress. “Jon, it’s progress because a cop pulled his gun on a group of black kids and nobody is dead,” Williams said.
