Jon Stewart Sends Up Fox News, CNN ‘Human Shield’ Feud (Video)

“The Daily Show” anchor also mocks Nancy Grace on his “When Reporters Attack” segment

There's nothing like an international crisis to bring out a reporter's inner animal.

In a "When Reporters Attack" segment on Wednesday night, "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart took on the "human shield" feud between Fox News and CNN.

The whole controversy erupted after Fox claimed that it did not participate in a press tour of a Gaddafi-controlled compound in Libya, because it was worried reporter Steve Harrigan would be used as a shield.

"Only they can turn, 'Our guys missed the shuttle bus' into 'Fox News alone refuses to play patsy to America's enemies,'" Stewart quipped of Fox.

CNN hit back with correspondent Nic Robertson saying he sees Harrigan "more times at breakfast than I see him out on trips with government officials."

Stewart seemed to side with CNN while gleefully describing the war of words as a "triple correspondent slam."

Also, attracting Stewart's sardonic eye — Nancy Grace's steadfast refusal to "take science for an answer" regarding the nuclear crisis in Japan.
