Joyriding Dogs Crash Car Into Walmart (Video)

“I didn’t know dogs could drive,” a shopper tells WSAZ

The “Saturday Night Live” skits with Toonces the Driving Cat taught us that felines can drive cars, but we’d never heard of dogs behind the wheel… until now.

Two West Virginia dogs took a little joyride in their owner’s car on Friday — and crashed it into a Walmart store.

According to WSAZ, a woman had left her car running while shopping so that her dogs could keep cool. They somehow knocked the gear out of park and rolled into the building. Once the car stopped, one of the dogs managed to roll down the window.

“I didn’t know dogs could drive,” a startled shopper told WSAZ. “Dogs can be your best friend, and in this situation, they can be your enemy, too.”

“Only in Wayne County could something like that happen,” another eyewitness said.

An employee had noticed the car slowly driving toward her and thought someone was trying to prank her — until she saw a dog in the driver’s seat.

The dogs were not injured and the accident didn’t cause much damage. The Walmart building was still intact and the owner was able to drive her car home.
