‘Jurassic World’ Super Bowl Spot Offers Glimpse of Terrifying New Dinosaur (Video)

The genetically engineered dino is officially known as Indominus Rex

A new trailer for “Jurassic World” debuted during Sunday night’s Super Bowl game and gives a series of quick shots of the Indominus Rex, the genetically engineered dinosaur that will serve as the main antagonist in this latest installment in the “Jurassic Park” franchise.

The film is set 22 years after the events of the original. Jurassic World is now a fully functioning amusement park and tourist destination. With attendance lagging, however, park administrator Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) plans to introduce a new attraction: the Indominus Rex.

“You just went and made a new dinosaur?” asks game warden Owen (Chris Pratt). “Probably not a good idea.”

We then see the Jurassic World team forced to hunt down and destroy the new beast as it begins killing for fun rather than food. The trailer also offers a new look at Pratt’s character training a pack of raptors.

In addition to Pratt and Howard, “Jurassic World” stars Judy Greer, Vincent D’Onofrio, BD Wong and Jake Johnson. It opens in theaters June 12, 2015.
