Justin Bieber Deportation Petition Will Be Addressed by Obama Administration

More than 100,000 people are demanding that the “Boyfriend” singer be booted out of the country

Fresh off of his State of the Union address, President Obama has another pressing issue to contend with: Whether or not pop singer Justin Bieber can be deported following his recent DUI arrest.

A We the People petition demanding Bieber's deportation has reached its goal of 100,000 signatures, meaning that the Obama administration will now have to respond to the petition.

“We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture,” the petition, created Jan. 23, reads. “We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation's youth.”

“We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society,” the petition concludes.

As of this writing, the petition has amassed more than 107,000 signatures.

Canadian “Boyfriend” singer Bieber was arrested in Miami Beach, Fla., on Jan. 23 after failing a sobriety test, according to the Miami Beach police department. His Calabasas, Calif., home was also recently raided by detectives searching for evidence that the singer was involved in egging his neighbor's home, causing $20,000 in damage.

It's unlikely that Bieber will face deportation. According to attorney Russell T. Kirshy's web site, non-citizens can be deported if they're convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude or an aggravated felony. The Supreme Court ruled in 2004 that driving while intoxicated or driving under the influence aren't crimes of violence, and they aren't considered crimes involving moral turpitude by the Immigration and Nationality Act.

the guy who made him famous should give his head a shake. This idiot of a human being cannot sing if his life depended on it. I am Canadian, and if means shipping him back will shut down hearing him and or seeing his ugly mug, fine. There kid has and never will have any talent other then making a big a..hole of himself and making other Canadians look bad.

    • WockerDaw

The thing is, he can sing. He really can, but that's not the reason we all are against him right now.

    1. Speeding 2.Throwing eggs causing damage to property and disturbing the peace.. 3. DUI felony and admitting smoking weed all day to a police officer and bragging about it !. 4. Smoking weed on a jet plane when it's illegal . 5. fights. Any holder of a green card is not a U.S. citizen. He is a considered guest in the U.S.A !. They have how many signatures over 100,000 . I would say even more if everyone voted and if they knew about the vote. I saying being a U.S citizen if he is not deported something is wrong !. If you can not behave go home to Canada .

Hello Mr. Kirshy! I do think a DUI/DWI can be crimes of violence especially when it involves a rich “kid” who thinks he is ABOVE THE LAW BECAUSE HE'S GOT MONEY! He has NO RESPECT FOR THE LAW!!!! he is going to be an habitual offender. YOUR ARE JUST TALKING FROM THE CASH IN YOUR POCKET! If you could talk some sense into him, then maybe we could prevent someone's death. You know he is going to offend again…u know it!!! someone is going to die due to justin. He is a “rich, STUPID, AND IGNORANT INDIVIDUAL! Honestly, it all comes down to the parents. They have ENABLED HIM TO BECOME A RICH BRAT!!!!
“AIN'T NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bieber has no morals, no sense, and no respect. Whats the kid gotta do to be considered a menace to society? Cause 40 thousand in damages or hit some innocent child playing on sidewalk of their neighborhood? If he is not deported then the guidelines for deportation are being stretched for his benefit and not doing him any favors…when your child does something wrong be it morally or legally its the adults responsibility to make sure they are punished and taught a lesson…so far all that has been done is a slap on the wrist and letting this little boy think its k to behave this way and because of who he Is hes above the law….when you let a child get away with bad behavior it only gets worse!!!!!!!!

  • canuck

He isn't a kid anymore…kick his ass but please don't send him back to Canada…we don't want his sorry ass either!!

When the Obama administration responds, it shouldn't be on whether or not Justin gets deported, but to lecture all of these immature, jealous little boys and warn them not to use government petitions to get rid of their personal problems. Justin Bieber is not a threat or a bad influence, as 107,000 pointed out, people can think for themselves. Justin Bieber isn't even annoying. He's just a talented young man who intimidates all of these average, not so good looking, not so talented boys and makes them feel bad about themselves and their petty little lives. Well here's some advice: instead of whining about it, why don't you better yourselves so you can get a girlfriend. By the way, just to let you know, you can't call 911 when your parents don't tell you they love you when they tuck you in at night.
