Justin Bieber Will Be ‘Digital Host’ for MTV’s European Music Awards

Eva Longoria will be the on-air host for the Nov. 7 event

Justin Bieber won't be in Madrid for MTV's 2010 European Music Awards in November, but he is lending his prodigious social media muscle to the show.

The tween pop star, who has over 5.6 million followers on Twitter, will serve as "official digital host" of the EMA's. Bieber will be live-tweeting and interacting with fans on the web simulcast of the ceremony.

“I’m so excited to have all my fans come watch the show with me online, it will be like one giant, global viewing party at my house!” Bieber said.

The 2010 MTV EMA's premieres live on MTV2 at 9pm ET/PT Nov. 7. On-air, the awards show will be hosted by Eva Longoria.
