Kate Bosworth Becomes the Most Dangerous Game in ‘Black Rock’ Trailer (Video)

Mark Duplass wrote this thriller about three women being hunted by men on an island

In the first trailer for the Mark Duplass-written thriller "Black Rock," Kate Bosworth tells two female friends that their weekend getaway on a remote island off the coast of Maine is "gonna be so good, guys."

Wrong!

Shortly after Bosworth, Lake Bell ("Childrens Hospital") and Katie Aselton ("The League") — who also directs — arrive to reconnect at their favorite escape, they run into three handsome hunters. It's just too bad they're also a little bit crazy.

After they all sit down around a fire to share some drinks and laughs, one of those hunters get a little bit too frisky and tries to force himself on a drunk (and married) Aselton. Sloppy editing makes it a little unclear what actually happens, but he ends up unconscious and the girls end up tied to a tree the next day.

Following a daring escape, they become the hunters' human targets. Eventually, however, it looks like the hunters become the hunted.

Considering Duplass is responsible for the screenplays of indie hits like "Cyrus" and "Jeff, Who Lives at Home," his latest can't be as bad as this trailer makes it look — can it?
