Keanu Reeves’ Directorial Debut ‘Man of Tai Chi’ Promises ‘No Rules, Pure Fighting’ (Video)

The martial-arts extraveganza stars a villainous Reeves, as well as "Matrix" stuntman Tiger Hu Chen

The first trailer for Keanu Reeves directorial debut, "Man of Tai Chi," is full of pure fighting with no rules and no referees.

Reeves' fight film follows "Matrix Reloaded" and "Matrix Revolutions" stuntman Tiger Hu Chen as a young martial artist lured into a deadly tournament in Beijing.

Reeves takes a rare turn as the antagonist who wants nothing more than to see "a pure-hearted, good-natured man of Tai Chi become a killer." He even gets into the mortal combat action himself in a competition consisting of "no referees, no rules" and "pure fighting." 

China Film Group and Village Roadshow Pictures provided the funding for the upcoming Universal release hitting U.S. theaters sometime this year.
