Kellyanne Conway Says Russia Investigation Is ‘Just a Rush to Judgment’ (Video)

“We know that there have been many news reports very recently that had the facts wrong,” Conway tells Fox News

Kellyanne Conway appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Tuesday morning to call the ongoing investigation into President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner over improper communication with Russian officials a “rush to judgment.”

Conway was asked about a recent Fox News report that said Kushner didn’t initiate alleged backchannel communications between the Kremlin and the White House. Network hosts also inquired about a variety of other stories related to the investigation.

“I’m not going to comment on any of that because there is no reason to, frankly. We know that there have been many news reports very recently that had the facts wrong,” Conway said. “This entire thing is just a rush to judgment.”

She continued: “We have been talking about this for about 8 months and yet…it’s a lot easier to scream Russia, Russia, Russia every day.”

Trump also mocked the investigation on Tuesday, saying on Twitter, “Russian officials must be laughing” at the Democrats’ “lame excuse” for losing on Election Day.

Kushner is the latest member of the administration to fall under fire. On Friday, a report by The Washington Post indicated that Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak reported to his superiors in December that Kushner wanted to set up a “secret and secure communications channel” between Trump’s transition team and the Kremlin.

Conway also said that the president’s recent foreign trip was a success and you can tell because of the lack of coverage from the mainstream media.
