Keri Russell Is Searching for the Fictional Man of Her Dreams in ‘Austenland’ Trailer (Video)

The "Americans" actress plays a woman obsessed with Jane Austen novels in the directorial debut from "Napoleon Dynamite" writer Jerusha Hess

Keri Russell is an obsessive literary geek going to odd extremes to find the love of her life in the first trailer for "Austenland," the directorial debut of "Napoleon Dynamite" writer Jerusha Hess.

The romantic comedy, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, follows a Jane Austen devotee traveling to a Jane Austen theme park in England where actors pose as the characters in the author's famous period pieces. Just imagine Colonial Williamsburg tailored to single women hoping to be romanced by a distinguished English gentleman similar to Mr. Darcy in "Pride and Prejudice."

Russell's character, who believes she is single because "the only good men are fictional," hopes she will find a fiancé by the end of her stay.

Jane Seymour, Jennifer Coolidge, Bret McKenzie and JJ Feild co-star with Russell in the Sony Pictures Classics release hitting theaters on Aug. 16.
