The long courtroom nightmare for Kesha’s mother is finally over.

Pebe Sebert, mother of “Tik Tok” singer has dropped her countersuit against her daughter’s producer and alleged tormentor Dr. Luke, and to hear her lawyer tell it, it’s a big load off of Sebert’s chest.

Sebert voluntarily withdrew her counterclaims in federal court in Tennessee on Tuesday, according to legal papers obtained by TheWrap.

In a statement provided to TheWrap, Sebert’s attorney, Alex Little, said that the case against the producer has been “a nightmare” for her, and that she’s looking forward to putting the “cancerous” matter behind her.

“The litigation with Dr. Luke has been a nightmare for Mrs. Sebert and her family,” Little said. “She has decided to move on and find peace and forgiveness in her heart rather than dwelling in the cancerous past of an ongoing lawsuit with no end in sight.”

Dr. Luke — whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald — filed his suit against the elder Sebert in October 2014, claiming that she and her daughter used “a campaign of false accusations” against him in order to “extort plaintiffs into letting Kesha out of” her contract with the producer.

Sebert subsequently filed her own counterclaim, alleging that the producer “physically, verbally and emotionally abused” Kesha in “an effort to torment and harass” the elder Sebert.

Kesha has been locked in a long legal battle with Gottwald and record label Sony, alleging that Gottwald was abusive to her and contending that she should be allowed to work outside of her contract with Sony so as not to have to work with her alleged abuser.

Gottwald has denied Kesha’s claims, and the”Tik Tok” singer has been unsuccessful in her efforts to be freed from her contract, in part because Sony has asserted that there are other producers besides Gottwald that she could work with.

On Tuesday, Kesha said that she was working in the studio with Zedd, noting on Instagram, “It’s a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again with no reason other than that he is a fucking beautiful person with a heart of gold.”

Despite her legal setbacks, Kesha has gained widespread support from artists and fans alike. Singers including Lady Gaga and Adele have expressed their support for her, while the hashtag #FreeKesha emerged during her legal battle.
