Kevin James is coming back to television. Or at least he plans to.

The former “King of Queens” star has entered an agreement with Lionsgate for a series with a 10/90 structure, an individual familiar with the deal told TheWrap on Wednesday.

The 10/90 structure means that the show would be pitched out to networks with a commitment for 10 episodes, with the network committing to an additional 90 episodes if those first 10 meet a certain ratings requirement.

The same deal was struck for FX’s adaptation of the film “Anger Management” starring Charlie Sheen, which reached its ratings goal with the first 10 episodes, and an upcoming comedy starring Martin Lawrence and Kelsey Grammer, also with FX.

The series deal stems from an overall deal for TV and films that James entered into with Lionsgate on Tuesday.

Under that agreement, Lionsgate will develop television and movie projects for “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” star James, which James will star in as well as produce.

In addition to the Lionsgate deal, James will maintain his feature development deal with Sony Pictures.

“We’re delighted to be in the Kevin James business and, on a personal level, I’m pleased to reunite with my star from ‘The King of Queens,’” Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said. “Kevin is exactly the kind of versatile and entrepreneurial acting, producing and writing talent with whom we like to partner. He has a tremendous track record in both the film and TV business, and we look forward to partnering with him on a wide range of projects in the years to come.”
