Kmart Taunts One Million Moms with Ballsy Christmas Commercial (Video)

The department store chain follows up viral hit “Ship Your Pants” with Joe Boxer clothing ad featuring six male models’ called “Show Your Joe”

This holiday season, Kmart is reminding customers that its got balls — and Joe Boxer underwear to cover them up.

Just seven months after the company’s “Ship Your Pants” campaign went viral, and inspired media watchdog organization One Million Moms to launch its own campaign asking for the ads to be removed, Kmart is advertising its Joe Boxer line of clothing with a 55-second commercial titled “Show Your Joe,” featuring male models playing “Jingle Bells” by jingling their testicles.

Don’t worry, though. There’s hardly any skin shown, as viewers just hear — not see — the men’s unlikely instruments in action. And since they’re wearing boxers, not briefs, there’s hardly a bulge in sight.

Still, the sound of balls masquerading as bells was enough to send some angry viewers to Kmart’s Facebook page after the spot premiered on television on Sunday

“The ad is distasteful and not for general audiences—period,” one outraged viewer wrote. “I personally will not purchase a product with an ad that is clearly for the gutter dwellers.”

Others, however, we’re not so bothered by it.

“I LOOOOOOOOOVE the new commercial!!!!! We all need to laugh once in awhile! Keep it up Kmart,” a fan wrote on Tuesday, while another added: “Very hip and fun commercial, 2 thumbs up.”

One Million Moms has yet to weigh in.
