Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Opt Out of ‘Twilight’ Conventions

Taylor Lautner will miss the final four gatherings too, according to the company behind the "Twilight" conventions

The blowup between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart is bringing more bad news for Twihards.

The former on- and off-screen couple will not attend the final four “Twilight” conventions, according to Creation Entertainment. The company said that the pair, along with “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner, would not be part of  upcoming shows in San Antonio (Aug. 25), Detroit (Sept. 29), Parsippany, N.J. (Oct. 5) and Los Angeles (Nov. 3).

The disclosure was made on the web site Zap2it.com. Creation's statement said in part:

"Although Rob, Kristen and Taylor will not be with us this time out we will have a super lineup of other 'Twilight' stars and the weekend will be filled with special events, movie prop and costume displays, contests, panels, auctions, parties, exclusive merchandise, music and much more, including some surprises!"

The four "Twilight" films in which the two have starred have grossed more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office for Summit Entertainment. The next film in the franchise, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (Part 2),” will be released on Nov. 16.

Pattinson and Stewart’s troubles came to light after she disclosed her infidelities with married director Rupert Sanders, with whom she worked on “Snow White and the Huntsman.”

Universal, which was planning a “Snow White” sequel, is considering other approaches but last week denied a report that the studio had dropped the actress from the project.
