Lady Gaga-Christina Aguilera’s Sexy ‘Voice’ Duet: What Feud? (Video)

The divas surprise viewers with a duet that could put rumors of bad blood to rest

A million moms told their kids to close their eyes on Tuesday night when Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera combined diva forces on “The Voice” season finale.

Equal parts girl power, grope-fest and a squashing of a reported feud between them, the women belted “Do What U Want” and set off a barrage of tweets.

They held hands and then Gaga led Aguilera to a nearby chaise lounge where there was some woman-on-woman contact. The singers ended the duet by crossing arms and drinking some champs before smashing the glasses on the stage. Anyone have a smoke?

To make sure they effectively squashed any reports of their feud, Gaga expressed that she had asked producers to set up the duet. And Aguilera made sure there was nothing but love and gold lamé fabric between them.

“I’ve been waiting to meet her,” the coach said. “She’s such an innovative artist and a risk-taker and as a fellow female, I have so much respect for that.”

“She’s the most down to earth real person that I’ve ever met in this business,” Aguilera continued. “Female to female in this industry, it’s really hard to find that kind of a person. I love you girl, and you deserve everything that you’ve earned.”

Gaga could use Aguilera’s support and the promotional boost that “The Voice” finale and its 13.8 million viewers affords. Despite host Carson Daly saying on-air that her latest album is No. 1 around the world, “ARTPOP” has not fared particularly well. After selling a very modest 258,000 copies in its first week, the album suffered 2013’s biggest second-week decline, falling 82 percent.

As for Aguilera, she’ll be taking next season off, presumably to work on her own music, as Shakira returns (as well as Usher) to fill her and coach Cee Lo Green‘s seats on Season 6 in February.
