“Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time," the singer said in the interview, to air Sunday. "No press, no television, if my mom calls and says, ‘Did you hear about…’ I shut it all off.”

Winfrey and Gaga have been chummy in recent weeks. In late February, the talk-show giant joined the singer at Harvard University to help Gaga launch her Born This Way Foundation, which aims to "explore the best ways to reach youth and create a new culture of kindness, bravery, acceptance and empowerment."
