Leah Remini to Compete on ‘Dancing With the Stars’

The former "The Talk" co-host will strap on her dancing shoes for the ABC show's 17th season

Leah Remini walked out of Scientology recently and now she's waltzing into ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."

The fired "The Talk" co-host and former "King of Queens" star will compete on the dance competition's upcoming 17th season, individuals with knowledge of the casting told TheWrap.

A network representative told TheWrap, "We don't comment on casting rumors."

Valerie Harper, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Amber Riley, Elizabeth Berkeley and Christina Milian are also reportedly joining the show. The official announcement will be made next Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Earlier this year, Remini starred on the short-lived comedy "Family Tools." She was fired from CBS's "The Talk" in March 2012. Previously, she starred on "The King of Queens" for nine seasons.

Remini made headlines after leaving the Church of Scientology when reports said she filed a missing persons report for Scientologist Shelly (Michelle) Miscavige, wife of the Church's leader David Miscavige. The LAPD later closed the investigation calling the missing person report "unfounded."

TMZ first reported the casting.
