Leah Remini ‘Not About to Shut Up’ After Reported Scientology Split

Former "King of Queens" star says that "people should be allowed to question things."

Former "King of Queens" star Leah Remini has opened up following her reported break from the Church of Scientology, telling People magazine, "I'm not about to shut up."

The actress spoke to the magazine during an event on Saturday, saying that she believes "that people should be allowed to question things."

"I believe that people should value family, and value friendships, and hold those things sacrosanct," said Remini, who'd been a Scientologist for more than 30 years. "That for me, that's what I'm about. It wouldn't matter what it was, simply because no one is going to tell me how I need to think, no one is going to tell me who I can, and cannot, talk to."

Remini issued a statement earlier this month thanking people for their "overwhelming positive response" amid reports that she was splitting with Scientology.
