Lindsay Lohan Claims She Was ‘Racially Profiled’ Over Headscarf in Airport (Video)

Actress asks, “How would another woman who doesn’t feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel?”

Lindsay Lohan told “Good Morning Britain” on Tuesday that she was “racially profiled” while wearing a headscarf at London’s Heathrow Airport.

The actress claimed she was stopped while traveling to New York. She said an airport worker “opened my passport and saw ‘Lindsay Lohan’ and started immediately apologizing, but then said: ‘Please take off your headscarf.’”

On the British morning show, Lohan asked, “How would another woman who doesn’t feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel?”

Lohan was returning from Turkey, where she recently met President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. She said she wore a headscarf in Turkey out of “personal respect” and recently said she finds “solace” studying the Quran, according to the Associated Press.

“I was a little intimidated,” Lohan told “GMB” co-host Piers Morgan.

The actress recently took to social media to lobby for a role in “The Little Mermaid,” letting the powers that be at the studio know that she’s ready, willing and able to step in (or swim in, in this case) as Ariel in the live-action film adaptation when casting begins.

Along with a side-by-side comparison of her and the redheaded girl from under the sea, Lohan wrote on Instagram, “I will sing again, as #ariel #thelittlemermaid” … “@disney approve that “#billcondon directs it along with my sister @alianamusic singing the theme song for the soundtrack.”

Her last major theatrical role was 2013’s “Scary Movie 5.”
