Lindsay Lohan in Talks for ‘Scary Movie 5’

Lindsay Lohan might follow up Elizabeth Taylor biopic with spot in the horror-spoof franchise "Scary Movie 5"

Lindsay Lohan is done with the frightening stage of her life — now it's on to the frightening stage of her acting career.

The "Mean Girls" star is in talks to star in the upcoming fifth installment of the horror-movie spoof franchise "Scary Movie 5," an individual with knowledge of the situation confirmed to TheWrap.

Lohan, who has managed to shift the public's focus away from her personal woes and toward her career comeback, recently finished filming the Lifetime biopic "Liz & Dick," in which she portrays screen legend Elizabeth Taylor opposite Grant Bowler, who plays Taylor's husband Richard Burton.

According to IMDB.com, the cast of "Scary Movie 5" currently includes former "High School Musical" star Ashley Tisdale, and the film is scheduled for an April 19, 2013 release.

Lohan, 26, will also star in the upcoming Paul Schrader film "The Canyons," which is written by Bret Easton Ellis. Lohan will star opposite adult-film star James Deen.
