Lindsay Lohan’s Probation Report: ‘She Needs to Be More Diligent in Her Efforts’

Probation report praises the “Mean Girls” star for making changes and attending therapy but acknowledged that there is more work to be done

A Los Angeles judge may have revoked Lindsay Lohan's probation on Wednesday because the actress failed to complete court-ordered community service, but the "Mean Girls" star has a fan in her probation officer.

In a court filing urging the judge to chastise the star, but not impose any additional punishment, Lohan's probation officer Donald Blevins writes that the actress "….is doing really well, she is making changes, and is trying to become more disciplined in her actions."

He said the actress has continued to attend therapy sessions for substance abuse and shoplifting.

One thing she wasn't doing as well, however, was showing up to volunteer at the Downtown Women's Center. Lohan was kicked out of the program because she completed only 21 of the 360 hours she was ordered to work.

"The defendant should be admonished to be more diligent in her efforts," Blevins writes. "To the defendant's credit, she is in psychological counseling to deal with her addiction, which is the most important aspect of this matter."

Blevins said that Lohan did not find the work at the women's center "fulfilling," but has volunteered four times at the Red Cross and had a positive experience at the non-profit organization.

"[Lohan] indicates that at the Red Cross, she feels she is learning things," Blevins writes. "She indicates the staff is appreciative of her help."

Not that an angry Judge Stephanie Sautner was sympathetic in court today. She revoked the actress' probation and Lohan was escorted from the courtroom in handcuffs.

The actress posted an $100,000 bail, her spokesman told TheWrap Wednesday.
