Lionsgate and Tyler Perry Reunite for ‘Good Deeds’

Romantic drama focuses on a successful businessman who falls in love for a down on her luck single mother

Lionsgate and Tyler Perry are back in business with a new romantic drama "Good Deeds," the studio announced on Monday.

The movie centers on a a successful entrepreneur who is engaged, but falls for a down on her luck single mother.

Perry will direct and star in the film. He also wrote the screenplay.

Perry and his Madea character have been one of the most reliable box office performers for the mini-major. His latest Lionsgate film "Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family" hits theaters on April 22, 2011.

News of the latest collaboration comes on the heels of last week's announcement that Lionsgate and Petty had entered into a new first-look, multi-year deal covering movies and home entertainment.

"Good Deeds" will begin shooting at the end of April in Atlanta

Perry is represented by Matt Johnson from Ziffren Brittenham and WME
