‘Looking’ Star Russell Tovey Joins Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston in ‘The Night Manager’

Alistair Petrie and Douglas Hodge are also on board

“Looking” star Russell Tovey, Alistair Petrie and Douglas Hodge are joining the cast of AMC’s upcoming limited series “The Night Manager.”

The actors join previously announced cast members Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Colman and Tom Hollander.

An adaptation of John le Carré’s novel of the same name, “The Night Manager” stars Hiddleston as a former British soldier named Jonathan Pine, who is recruited by an intelligence operative to infiltrate the inner circle of lethal arms dealer Richard Onslow Roper, played by Laurie.

“The Night Manager” will be co-produced by AMC with The Ink Factory and BBC One. Executive producers are Stephen Cornwell and Simon Cornwell for The Ink Factory, Stephen Garrett, David Farr, and Polly Hill for the BBC.

The series was commissioned for BBC One by Charlotte Moore and Ben Stephenson, and for AMC by Joel Stillerman and Kristin Jones. It is adapted by “Hanna” writer David Farr. Rob Bullock will produce for The Ink Factory.

The series will premiere in 2016.
