Most high-profile donors to President Barack Obama seek the president’s ear, but Atlanta-based hip-hop artist Ludacris has both presidential ears covered.
The rapper, born Chris Bridges, presented the First Music Fan with a customized pair of
headphones, replete with the presidential seal, at a fundraiser held in a private residence
in Atlanta’s Sherwood Forest neighborhood Friday.

The “Soul by Ludacris” headphone line stems from a collaboration between Ludacris and the Signeo headphone company.
“Just gave Barack his @SoulbyLudacris headphones. Re-elect Obama 2012! Preach!”
Ludacris tweeted, according to Politico.
And the president apparently knows his Ludacris. Per pool reports, when a phone went
off during Obama’s remarks, he said, “Oh! You’ve got some Luda on there?”
In 2008 the Obama campaign had to distance itself from Ludacris when the rapper made
disparaging remarks about John McCain and Hillary Clinton in a song praising Obama.
“Hillary hated on you, so that bitch is irrelevant,” Ludacris sang. “McCain don’t belong
in ANY chair unless he’s paralyzed….”
