The brother and nephew of the CEO will leave for new ventures.
Philip DeBevoise and Aaron DeBevoise, the brother and nephew of Machinima CEO Allen DeBevoise, will leave the company at year's end, according to an individual with knowledge of the company.
Both of them are co-founders and active shareholders and will retain their stakes in the company. They will move on to unannounced new ventures.
Philip, who bought the Machinima website with his brother, is the company's president while Aaron is its exec VP of Network Programming.
The company has also hired Stephen Semprevivo as its new president and general manager.
The changes are the latest step in Machinima's continued evolution, as it shifts its focus to higher-quality programming. Over the past couple years, Machinima has hired a COO, raised $35 million, conducted a couple rounds of layoffs and produced expansive and expensive series like “Mortal Kombat: Legacy” and “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn.”
