'Psych' Vet Maggie Lawson to Star in CBS Comedy Pilot 'Save the Date'

Maggie Lawson has a “Date” with CBS.

The “Psych” and “Back in the Game” actress has been cast to star in the CBS comedy pilot “Save the Date,” from writers and executive producers Jackie and Jeff Filgo (“That '70s Show”).

Lawson will play Katie, a newly single woman who drunkenly books a wedding venue and is now faced with the task of meeting the right man in time.

The comedy pilot is being produced by ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios.

USA Network recently announced that “Psych” will end its run after its current season. Meanwhile, ABC canceled the freshman sitcom “Back in the Game” in November.

Deadline first reported the news of Lawson's casting.
