Margot Robbie Talks About All That ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ Nudity on Kimmel (Video)

“That was a small point of contention with my family”

Margot Robbie plays Leonardo DiCaprio‘s on-screen wife in “The Wolf of Wall Street,” a production that required her to showcase more than just her acting skills, and the actress revealed on Tuesday that the nudity “was a small point of contention” with her family.

“Ironically, I just flat out lied to my family for a really long time,” the 23-year-old actress told Jimmy Kimmel during an interview (above) on his ABC late-night show. “I said, ‘I don’t care what you hear, there is no nudity. I’m not doing any nudity. Ignore anything anyone’s saying. There’s no nudity.’”

After realizing that the movie would eventually be released in her native town along the Gold Coast of Australia, which she worries won’t “approve of this movie,” she had to edit her narrative.

“The lie evolved to, ‘Well, actually, it’s a body double and they just CGI’d my head onto someone else,’” Robbie said. “And my family doesn’t have anything to do with the entertainment industry, so they totally bought it.”

Robbie said she eventually came clean to her family and, given the rest of the film’s excessive R-rated content, advised they read former stockbroker Jordan Belfort’s memoir on which the movie is based, first.

“I’m hoping I’m going to be home when it comes out,” Robbie said. “And then I’m just going to fly the coop, so I can miss the aftermath, because I’m not sure how it’s going to go.”
