The Grammy-winning songstress had some little lambs, whose faces were white as snow
Mariah Carey surprised a roomful of her super fans with an intimate performance of her new single “The Art of Letting Go” on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.”
Fallon's latest prank “victims,” who call themselves “lambs,” were blindly led to whatever the opposite of audible slaughter is for Wednesday's show — though one of them did question if they were all dead.
The late night host invited some of them to a recording studio under the guise of hearing Carey's new song, “The Art of Letting Go,” for the first time. The loyal lambs got far more than they came for.
Carey was actually singing the song live in an adjacent soundproof booth as a handful of her fans listened with Fallon from a waiting room couch. At different points during the new single, Carey walked out to surprise the group.
What happened next was a combination of hugs, applause and unbridled joy — and that was just Fallon. He called the prank, “the most fun thing ever.”
