Marketing, Branding Veteran Joanne Freed Joins Entertainment PR Firm 42West

Freed will spearhead 42West’s growing brand communications specialty, and brings nearly two decades of experience to the company

Consumer marketing and branding veteran Joanne Freed has joined entertainment PR firm 42West, the company’s partners announced Monday.

Freed will spearhead 42West’s growing brand communications specialty, and brings nearly two decades of entertainment, packaged goods, beauty, food and beverage marketing experience to the company. Freed most recently led the entertainment group at Hunter PR.

Prior to Hunter PR, where Freed’s clients included Kraft Foods’ grocery division (Jell-O, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese, Grey Poupon, A.1., Maxwell House) and Mondelez Business (Halls, Chips Ahoy!), Freed was VP of public relations at Fuse TV, the music television network.

Previous agency experiences include Ketchum, FleishmanHillard, and Vorhaus & Company, where Freed contributed to a variety of clients in the consumer and entertainment space, including launching Swiffer for P&G, J&J’s Band-Aid Brand Adhesive Bandages, Dannon, Yahoo!, Hasbro Games, Steinway & Sons’ 150th anniversary; and the MTV Video Music Awards.
