Ratings: ‘Marlon’ Finale Stays Flat With Last Week

Fox catches back up to NBC in key 18-49 demographic

“Marlon” finished its first season flat with last week’s 9:30 p.m. episode’s fast national numbers, and Fox was able to catch back up to NBC Wednesday in the key 18-49 demo. As always, these numbers are subject to adjustment when Nielsen’s final figures come out.

With “America’s Got Talent” at 8, NBC topped primetime’s averages in terms of total viewers. CBS was second by that metric and Fox came in third.

NBC and Fox tied for first in ratings, both with a 1.3 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted demographic. NBC was first in total viewers with an average of 6.2 million, according to preliminary numbers. Fox was third with 4 million.

For NBC, “AGT” at 8 earned a 2.0/9 and 11.3 million viewers. The night’s first episode of “Marlon” at 9 put up a 1.2/5 and 5.2 million viewers. Another half-hour at 9:30 — the sitcom’s Season 1 finale — got a 1.0/4 and 3.7 million viewers.

For Fox, Hour 1 of “MasterChef” at 8 landed a 1.2/5 and 3.7 million viewers. The second 60 minutes at 9 rose to a 1.3/5 and 4.2 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 0.9/4 and second in viewers with 4.4 million. “Big Brother” at 8 posted a 1.8/8 and 6.3 million viewers. “Salvation” at 9 settled for a 0.5/2 and 3.6 million viewers. A rerun followed.

Telemundo was fourth in ratings with a 0.7/3 and fifth in viewers with 1.6 million.

ABC was fifth in ratings with a 0.6/3 and fourth in viewers with 2.9 million. After repeats, a “20/20” episode at 10 received a 0.6/2 and 3.2 million viewers.

Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.5 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 791,000 viewers, airing all reruns.
