Ratings: ‘Marry Me’ Debut Toasts Top Tuesday Network Comedy Marks Since March

Congratulations are in order for the new couple: NBC looks like it chose a good partner in “Marry Me,” as the sitcom scored the best ratings for a Tuesday network comedy since March.

In other notable news, CW sped to third place again in the demo thanks to “The Flash,” while Fox fell back to sixth.

NBC was first in ratings with a 2.4 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in viewers with an average of 8.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 8 p.m., “The Voice” scored a night-high 3.3/11 and had 11.9 million viewers. The debut of “Marry Me” at 9 earned a 2.3/7 and 7.8 million viewers. The season premiere of “About a Boy” at 9:30 got a 1.8/5 and 6.2 million viewers. “Chicago Fire” at 10 received a 2.0/6 and 7.2 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 2.1/6 and first in viewers with 14.2 million. “NCIS” at 8 earned a 2.5/8 and primetime-best 17.1 million viewers. “NCIS: New Orleans” at 9 received a 2.2/6 and 15.9 million viewers. “Person of Interest” at 10 had a 1.5/5 and 9.7 million viewers.

The CW was third in ratings with a 1.3/4 and fifth in viewers with 3.2 million. “The Flash” at 8 got a 1.6/5 and 4.1 million viewers. “Supernatural” at 9 had a 1.0/3 and 2.2 million viewers.

ABC was fourth in ratings with a 1.2/4 and third in viewers with 4.2 million. At 8, “Selfie” got a 1.0/3 and 3.5 million viewers. “Manhattan Love Story” at 8:30 got a 0.9/3 and 3 million viewers. “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” at 9 received a 1.6/5 and 4.6 million viewers. “Forever” at 10 had a 1.1/3 and 4.7 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 1.1/3 and in total viewers with 3 million.

Fox was sixth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and in total viewers with 2 million. Following reruns, “New Girl” at 9 had a 1.2/3 and 2.3 million viewers. “The Mindy Project” at 9:30 got a 1.0/3 and 2.2 million viewers.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in total viewers with 1.2 million.
