Martin Scorsese Gets Siri-ous in New iPhone Ad (Video)

"Goodfellas" director Martin Scorsese is the latest celebrity to sing the praises of the iPhone's metallic-voiced guardian angel

Anyone who's used the iPhone's "intelligent personal assistant" Siri knows that it's capable of taking (and giving) direction. But does it do so even better in the hands of a master helmsman such as Martin Scorsese?

"Gangs of New York" director Scorsese is the latest celebrity pitchman for Apple's iPhone, joining Samuel L. Jackson, Zooey Deschanel and John Malkovich in the line of famous shillers who've extolled the virtues of the metallic-voiced guardian angel Siri.

In his spot, Scorsese tools around the streets of New York in the back of a taxi, using Siri to rearrange his day and find the best path out of a traffic jam.

At the end of the ad, Scorsese — who's also served as a pitchman for American Express — tells the metallic-voiced guardian angel, "I like you, Siri; you're going places."

And she's probably easier to deal with than a good number of actors he's worked with in the past.

Watch Scorsese get Siri-ous in the video.
