Marvel Stockholders to Vote Dec. 31 on Disney Merger

If they approve, Marvel will become wholly owned Disney subsidiary on that date.

Marvel Entertainment has set Dec. 31 as the date for a special meeting of its stockholders to vote on its planned merger with the Walt Disney Co.

Marvel common stock holders of record as of Nov. 23 are entitled to vote at the special stockholder meeting, set for 9 a.m. at the Manhattan offices of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP at 75 E. 55th St.

Assuming shareholder adoption of the Agreement and Plan of Merger at the special meeting, Marvel expects the merger will be completed Dec. 31.

Under terms of the deal, Marvel, the global entertainment and licensing company, would become a wholly owned subsidiary of Disney.
