The second season of the women-in-prison series, from “Weeds” honcho Jenji Kohan, premiered last week on Netflix, and was renewed for a third season in May.

It was not immediately known which character the “Joan of Arcadia” actress will play, or how many episodes she will appear in.

In addition to the “Orange Is the New Black” gig, Steenburgen appeared in the FX drama “Justified” as Katherine Hale this year.
