“First Responders Live” (fireman) carried Fox to a primetime win in the key adults 18-49 demo, though “MasterChef” again rated the better of the network’s two Wednesday programs. The reason we’re hanging last night’s win on “First Responders” is because it grew in ratings week-to-week and it anchors Fox’s Wednesday primetime. The “MasterChef” demo rating also grew versus the prior week’s fast-national rating, though it was flat with the final Nielsen number, which had adjusted one-tenth of a ratings point later last Thursday. Fox was first in ratings with a 0.7 rating/4 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, but third in total viewers with an average of 2.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. “MasterChef” at 8 p.m. had a 0.8/4 and 3 million viewers. “First Responders Live” at 9 got a 0.6/3 and 2.3 million viewers. ABC and CBS was second in ratings, both with a 0.6/3. ABC was first in total viewers with 3.4 million, CBS was second with 3 million. For ABC, “Press Your Luck” at 8 received a 0.7/4 and 3.9 million viewers. At 9, “Card Sharks” had a 0.5/3 and 3.2 million viewers. “Match Game” at 10 got a 0.6/3 and 3.1 million viewers. For CBS, “Love Island” at 8 had a 0.6/3 and 2.5 million viewers. At 9, “Big Brother” landed a 1.0/5 and 4 million viewers. A rerun followed. NBC and Telemundo tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 0.5/3. NBC was fourth in total viewers with 2.6 million, Telemundo was fifth with 1.4 million. For NBC, following repeats, “The Inbetween” at 10 managed a 0.4/2 and 2.3 million viewers. Univision was sixth in ratings with a 0.3/2 and in viewers with 1 million. The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 741,000. Following a rerun, “Jane the Virgin” at 9 settled for a 0.2/1 and 624,000 viewers.
