Fox Reporter to Matthew Perry: Congratulations on ‘Go On’ Cancellation (Video)

Fox Sports reporter Dan Moriarty asked Perry about the "big news" during the Los Angeles' Kings Friday playoff game against the St. Louis Blues

Even when distracted by the tension of playoff hockey, Matthew Perry still couldn't escape an unpleasant reminder that his NBC show, "Go On," had been canceled after just one season. In fact, he was actually congratulated for it.

Fox Sports West's Dan Moriarty interviewed the actor during the second intermission of Friday's L.A. Kings game at the Staples Center, and noted "a congratulations is in order" for Perry's "big news."

"Oh, thank you. You're talking about my show being canceled?" Perry asked a grinning Moriarty, who nodded yes.

"It was sort of a sad day because of the people and I'm going to miss them," Perry said. "But this show that I was doing was really getting in the way of some Kings games, so I'm okay."

"So it's a double-edged sword congratulations," Moriarty concluded.

Whatever that means. Here's the goof:
